Privacy Policy
Welcome to Yavi Themes. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, purchase our products, or contact our support team.
By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are, and what this policy covers
Yavi Themes is a product developed and maintained by Webagentur YAHYA.
This Privacy Policy covers all three systems we operate under the Yavi Themes name:
- yavithemes.com — this website, where we present the products
- shop.yavithemes.com — the shop, where licences are purchased
- licence.yavithemes.com — the customer portal, where licences, domains and downloads are managed
Where a section applies to only one of them, it says so. Contact details for questions about this policy or your personal data are in our imprint.

- IP address

3. How we use your information

- Improve our products and services

- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations

Where you have given your consent, we may also send newsletters or marketing communications. You may unsubscribe at any time.
4. Cookies
On the shop and the customer portal
The cookies set on shop.yavithemes.com and licence.yavithemes.com are strictly necessary: they keep you signed in and hold your basket together through checkout. A purchase cannot be completed without them, which is why they are set without asking.
On this website
Only two things are stored here. Our own Matomo instance sets first-party analytics cookies, but exclusively after you have agreed to it (see section 5). And your answer to that question is kept in your browser's local storage, so we do not have to ask again.
Everywhere
We set no cookies for advertising networks and none for cross-site tracking, on any of the three systems. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.
5. Analytics
Analytics runs on this website only. The shop and the customer portal use no analytics at all — no tracking script is loaded there and no analytics cookie is set, whatever you decide here.
On this website we use Matomo, an open-source web analytics platform, to understand how visitors use it. Matomo runs on our own infrastructure (matomo.typo3profis.ch) — analytics data is not passed to a third-party analytics provider, is not combined with data from other websites, and is never used for advertising.
Matomo sets first-party cookies in your browser and records:
- Visited pages and links clicked
- Referring website
- Session duration and time of access
- Device type and screen resolution
- Browser and operating system
- IP address, and the approximate geographic region derived from it
Analytics data is used solely to improve our website, products, and user experience.
Your consent
Matomo is only loaded once you have agreed to it. Until then, and if you decline, no tracking request leaves your browser and no analytics cookie is set — the site works exactly the same either way.
Your decision is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and is never transmitted to us. You can change it at any time: open the analytics settings. Withdrawing consent stops any further collection and clears the analytics cookies already set.
6. Videos
Our videos are hosted on YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. They are embedded on this website, but they are not loaded until you press play.
Until then the page shows a still image stored on our own server. No request reaches YouTube, no player is loaded, and Google receives nothing about your visit — not your IP address, and not which page you are on.
Pressing play changes that, and pressing play is how you consent to it. From that moment the player is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, and Google receives your IP address, information about your browser and device, and the address of the page the video sits on. Google may process this data in the United States. If you are signed in to a Google account while you press play, Google can associate the view with that account; signing out beforehand prevents this.
We have no access to this data and no influence over how Google uses it. What Google does with it is described in Google's privacy policy.
You can watch the same videos without any embed on our YouTube channel — the data processing there is the same, and it is Google's alone.
7. Purchases and payments
Payments are processed by trusted third-party payment providers.
Yavi Themes does not store complete payment card information on its own servers.
Please review the privacy policies of the respective payment providers for more information about how your payment data is processed.
8. Licensing information
When purchasing a Yavi Themes product, we may process information necessary to manage software licensing, including:
- Purchased products
- License type
- License status
- Purchase date and the date until which updates are included
- Download history
- Product updates
License activation
A Yavi theme installed on your server contacts our licence server to verify that its licence key is valid and to check which updates it may install. In doing so we store:
- The domain name of the installation, and whether it is a live or a development environment
- The date of first activation and the time of the most recent check
- The IP address the request came from, together with the domain and the action performed, in a licence activity log
Where a licence key is rejected — because it is unknown, inactive, or already in use on the maximum number of live domains — we additionally record the key that was submitted, the product, the domain, the IP address, and the reason for rejection.
This information is used to enforce the licence terms, to detect key sharing and unlicensed use, and to deliver updates to entitled installations. It is not used for analytics or marketing.
9. Customer support
If you contact our support team, we may retain:
- Email correspondence
- Support tickets
- Screenshots or files voluntarily provided
- Technical information necessary to resolve your issue
Support data is used exclusively to provide assistance and improve our products.
10. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
Your information may only be shared with trusted service providers where necessary, including:
- Payment processors
- Hosting providers
- Email delivery services
- Analytics providers
- Legal authorities where required by law
All service providers are expected to protect your information appropriately.
Fonts, scripts and images on this website are served from our own infrastructure. No content delivery network, font provider or advertising network receives your IP address when you open a page here. The one third party that can receive it is YouTube, and only after you have pressed play on a video (see section 6).
11. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide our services
- Maintain software licenses
- Comply with legal and tax obligations
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce our agreements
When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
12. Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against:
- Unauthorized access
- Loss
- Misuse
- Alteration
- Disclosure
While we strive to protect your information, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict certain processing activities
- Object to processing
- Request data portability
- Withdraw previously given consent
Requests may be submitted using the contact details available on our website.
14. International data transfers
Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own.
Where required, appropriate safeguards are implemented to protect personal data during international transfers.
15. Children's privacy
Our products and services are intended for businesses, developers, agencies, and adult users.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
16. Third-party websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites.
We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Changes become effective once published on this page.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this document indicates the latest revision.
